Strobing Portraits On Location
Follow Joel Grimes on a photo-walk as he demonstrates how to use a artificial strobe light photographing a subject on-location
In this workshop Joel Grimes will take a class out in the field showing how to overpower the sun to create stunning dramatic portraits. Joel will cover High Speed Sync, using neutral density filter’s, and creating ultra shallow depth of field portraits. The goal of course it to take the mystery out of using artificial strobe lights in the field giving the attendees the skills to apply what they learn to their own work.
What Should Students Bring?
Attendees should bring a digital camera, with a standard mid range zoom lens (24-70mm or a 70-200mm. In addition, if they have a prime, wide aperture lens such as a 50mm 1.2 or 85mm 1.2 or equivalent, that would be an option.
