Introduction

Modern smartphones have advanced cameras with impressive capabilities. A camera which we carry with us at all times.To get the most from them, it’s essential to recognise their limitations whilst having a solid grasp of what makes a good photograph. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to take amazing photos with your smartphone, which will build upon an in-depth understanding of what a good photograph is, along with tips on using clever apps for capturing and editing.

Workshop Description

Aimed at Photographers of all levels and abilities, this workshop will explore the smartphone camera’s capabilities, assessing its potential while understanding its limitations, both technically and aesthetically.

Recognising that the photographer, not the camera, takes a good photograph, we will explore the building blocks of the achieved photograph, considering light, composition, and subject matter so that you will be assured of good smartphone photographs in the future.
