Goodbye Julia

A Sudanese drama film directed by Mohamed Kordofani. It tells the story of two women who represent the deep social and political divisions in Sudan during the period leading up to the 2011 secession of South Sudan.  The film is set in Khartoum between 2005 and 2011. The plot centers on Mona, a wealthy, retired Northern Sudanese singer, and Julia, a poor Southern Sudanese Christian woman.
