In this Fine Art Masterclass, we will cover several topics that can help us break into the fine art world, producing images that fulfill our vision as an artist and making our work available for others to collect and purchase. We will be discussing what type of images work best for potential collectors. Should we do limited-addition numbered of prints? What printing medium should we choose to print our work? How do we price our images? How to get your work into galleries, and much more. If you want to break into the Fine Art world, this class could help kick-start your Fine Art photography career.

 

Hourly Schedule

Module 1

We start out by defining the term or genre, Fine Art. We will also take a quick look at some of the master photographers in the past to give us context.

Module 2

As an artist, what type of work should I create? What type of images do collector what? How long does it take to begin the process of getting attention in the marketplace?

Module 3

Let's talk about the print. What output medium should I choose for my prints? What are the pros and cons to limited-editions numbered prints?

Module 4

Building the hype. As a general rule, the most successful artist are those who understand the game and know how to play it. They are masters of building the hype. In this Masterclass we will look at some ideas on how to play the game to get noticed in the marketplace.

Module 5

Creating a one, three, five and ten year game plan. What is a realistic time frame on getting my work into galleries, art shows, and making a splash in the marketplace.

Module 6

Getting your work into galleries. Where do I start? Are there resources that I can use to help me on my journey? Can I make an income from getting my work shown in galleries.

Module 7

How to stay motivated for the long haul. We will look at why most people fail at reaching their goal.
