Workshop Description
This workshop is about how and why taking full control of your camera will dramatically improve your photography. This allows for a deeper understanding of the camera’s operation so that it consistently produces the desired photographic results whilst allowing you to understand, diagnose and fix any image errors, as and when they may occur.
Camera control starts with understanding the exposure triangle; the relationship between the camera’s aperture, shutter-speed and ISO. In this workshop we’ll delve into how each one of these indices influence the aesthetics of the photograph. Further, we’ll consider the degree to which these indices may be hierarchical, depending upon subject material, and so the best choices which can be made for a given photograph. Consideration will also be given to how to shoot with post-production in mind.
