Cold Weather Expeditions: Preparation and Survival Skills
Introduction
Extreme cold environments present unique challenges for adventurers and photographers alike. Successfully navigating these conditions requires preparation, skill, and the proper knowledge. Whether planning a trip to the Arctic or photographing in sub-zero climates closer to home, this workshop will provide essential tips to help you stay safe, comfortable, and equipped for success.
David Gibbon, an award-winning photographer, has twice journeyed to Ellesmere Island—the closest landmass to the North Pole—where he braved temperatures below -50°C to capture extraordinary images of Arctic Wolves, polar bears, Musk Ox, Arctic Hares, and Arctic Foxes. David shares his expertise with an upcoming expedition to Greenland to help you prepare for cold-weather adventures.
