Abu Judy

Abu Judy is a short documentary that follows a Syrian electrician working in Lebanon, whose life is defined by displacement, responsibility, and quiet endurance. As he moves between job sites and temporary living spaces, the film observes how labour becomes a means of survival, dignity, and care for family left behind. Through restrained, intimate moments, the film reflects on exile, masculinity, and the invisible burdens carried by those rebuilding lives in the margins.

The film is by Hisham Jomaa, whose work focuses on displacement, labour, and everyday resilience.
