This three hour workshop offers a focused journey into the craft of visual storytelling. Ilvy will share insight from her award winning career. Moreover, she will explore the value of time, access, and empathy when working on stories that unfold over months or years.
Participants will examine how to identify subjects that resonate personally, develop a consistent visual language, and maintain authenticity through a long project. The session includes a lecture and group discussion of selected work. Additionally, there will be practical exercises. Ilvy will also cover editing and sequencing techniques along with advice on pitching or publishing longform projects.
