Human x AI:

Human x AI: The Future of Visual Storytelling

Introduction

AI isn’t here to replace creativity—it’s here to amplify it. This workshop explores the synergy between human intuition and AI, using tools like ChatGPT for ideation, Midjourney and Freepik for image generation, and Runway for AI-driven video creation. Learn how to craft compelling, cohesive narratives while keeping the human touch at the heart of storytelling. Let’s redefine visual storytelling—together.

Workshop Description

In an era where technology and creativity intertwine more than ever, AI is not here to replace artists but to empower them. This workshop is designed to explore how Generative AI can be harnessed to craft compelling visual narratives, bridging the gap between human imagination and machine precision. Whether you’re a photographer, filmmaker, designer, or creative enthusiast, this session will unlock new possibilities in AI-powered storytelling.

We’ll start by understanding the foundations of AI-assisted creativity, using ChatGPT to refine ideas, generate prompts, and define aesthetic elements such as camera angles, lens choices, and lighting styles. From there, we’ll dive into AI image generation with Midjourney and Freepik, exploring how to develop a consistent visual style that strengthens storytelling.

Moving beyond still imagery, we’ll introduce Runway and other AI-driven video tools, demonstrating how to transform generated images into seamless cinematic sequences. We’ll also touch upon SREF codes, a crucial element in ensuring visual coherence in AI-assisted storytelling. By combining these tools, participants will learn how to bring their creative vision to life in a way that feels authentic, impactful, and uniquely human.

This workshop is more than just an introduction to AI tools—it’s an exploration of storytelling in the digital age, proving that when human creativity and AI work in harmony, the possibilities are limitless. Join us as we redefine what’s possible in visual storytelling through the power of AI-enhanced creativity.

Module 1

The AI-Assisted Storyteller – Ideation & Prompting
AI isn’t just about generating visuals—it starts with a strong idea. This module explores how ChatGPT can be used as a creative assistant to refine concepts, craft detailed prompts, and define essential storytelling elements. Participants will learn how to use AI to identify themes, suggest visual aesthetics (camera angles, lighting, lens choices), and develop structured narratives, ensuring a solid creative foundation before moving to image generation.

Module 2

Crafting Visual Consistency with AI Image Generation
Once the idea is set, visual consistency is key. This module dives into Midjourney and Freepik, exploring how to generate high-quality images that align with a defined narrative. We’ll cover style consistency, creative direction, and techniques to maintain a cohesive look throughout a visual story. Participants will also be introduced to SREF codes, a crucial tool in ensuring AI-generated images stay visually aligned.

Module 3

Bringing Images to Life – AI Video Creation
Static visuals are just the beginning—this module explores how to turn AI-generated images into dynamic cinematic sequences. Using Runway and other AI-driven video tools, participants will learn how to create compelling motion visuals, animate still images, and ensure smooth transitions between AI-generated frames. The goal is to transform a sequence of AI images into a fully realised short-form video, ready for storytelling applications.

Module 4

AI as a Creative Partner – The Ethics & Future of AI Storytelling
AI is an incredible tool, but it should enhance—not replace—human creativity. This final module discusses the ethics of AI-generated content, how to maintain the human touch in storytelling, and how creatives can use AI as a collaborator rather than a substitute. Participants will leave with a clear understanding of AI’s role in modern storytelling and the skills to integrate it into their creative workflow with confidence.
