Video Editor as a Photographer
The way photography is viewed has changed drastically over the years. Social media sites and apps are by far the largest platforms for viewing photography in recent history. In this course we will learn to observe trends on social media, how to edit video which includes still photos, identify trending edits, and recreate a few viral videos which features still photos as the focus of the video.
Are you a photographer looking to broaden your creative ability? During video editor as a photographer we will dive into creating a project in premier pro and give you the technical ability to create motion sequences featuring your work. Having a basic understanding of an editing softer may give you the confidence to flip the switch on your camera to video mode as well!
Incorporating motion into your social media profile is absolutely vital to the growth of your social media accounts. The majority of Marketers believe motion content is the most valuable form of digital media. The number of digital video viewers is in the billions and you need to have a slice of that pie.
This course is for beginners with an understanding of video editing and intermediate users of Premiere Pro.
All hardware and software will be provided. Please select ticket type as a MAC user or WINDOWS user when booking.
Hourly Schedule
Module 1
- What is watchability?
- In this module we will discuss what is getting views on social media. We will find pieces which relate to photography and use these pieces as a reference for when we move to create a social media style video.
Module 2
- Setting up a project.
- In this module we will create a project in premier pro.
Module 3
- Exporting and posting to social media.
- In this module we will export a sequence and post to social media.
Module 4
- Identify a trend and recap.
- In this module we will learn how to identify a trend and how to create a piece which is unique to your artistic style whilst confirming to the trending audio or style of video on social media.
