Landscape Photography: Vision and Technique

Landscape Photography: Vision and Technique

A complete approach to crafting expressive landscape images through light, composition, and field awareness.

Introduction:

Join landscape photographer Mohammad Anabtawi for an immersive workshop that blends artistic vision with practical technique. It is designed to help photographers create expressive, technically refined landscapes. The session explores how to use light, composition, and visual storytelling. This will elevate your work from simple captures to images with atmosphere and intention.

Description:

Landscape photography is more than documenting a location. It is the practice of translating light, mood, and emotion into a cohesive visual language. This workshop is designed to help participants recognize the relationship between artistic vision and technical precision. It also aims to develop a more deliberate approach to the craft.

The session begins with an exploration of how to interpret natural light. You’ll learn to work with its direction, intensity, and character. Mohammad shares the creative and technical foundations that underpin his own award-winning landscapes. He guides participants through composition, exposure control, color harmony, and the use of simplicity and scale.

The workshop also encourages photographers to approach the field with intention. You will learn how to pre-visualize an image and understand the emotional potential of a scene. Additionally, you will merge creative intuition with accurate technical execution. The session emphasizes clarity, balance, and tonality, helping you refine both your artistic and your practical decision-making.

This classroom-based workshop is ideal for photographers who wish to strengthen their understanding of how vision and technique work together. By the end of the session, participants will have a more confident, structured, and expressive approach to landscape photography.

Modules:

Module 1: Seeing the light
